Essence — Brilliant Collaboration And Customisation
No matter which way you look, Essence provides the ultimate — the ultimate views over Perth’s Swan River, ultimate location convenience, ultimate apartment amenities, and of course, ultimate apartment design.
Spread across three separate buildings and surrounding a private residents’ garden, Essence consists a collection of over 140 diverse residences, expertly designed by architects Hames Sharley.
Developers, Blackburne, strived to produce a well-rounded living experience that catered via expansive rooftop amenities and superb location and views, with the added brilliance of living a house-sized lifestyle with the benefits of apartment living.
We are proud of the work we have done and are continuing to do in Western Australia, and Essence is no exception, particularly when working so closely with our long-term, trusted project partners, Blackburne.
Trusted partnerships proving invaluable
We began our Essence journey by liaising closely with Blackburne and Hames Sharley about how we could provide cost effective and high quality alternatives to the specified products.
“Ensuring our products maintain the design intent while remaining within budget is hugely important to us and what we do,” says Paul Thornewell, Novas General Manager | Product, Sales & Marketing.
The following eight months saw us deliver a complete Novas Architectural Doorware package, including a comprehensive master keying system and featuring the Novas B Series 35 Lever.
From Novas Kitchen & Bathroom, Essence boasts Soho tapware, including kitchen and bathroom mixers, bath spouts and showers — all appearing in our Brushed Nickel, Matte Black and Gold finishes.
In addition to several custom manufactured tapware upgrades, perhaps most exciting is our exclusive ultra-thin fine line double bowl kitchen sink — a product specifically designed, and manufactured and delivered by Novas for this project.
“Novas provide quality products at the forefront of design and our experience with the team is that they are always pushing this forward,” says David Fitzgerald, Blackburne Development Manager.
Behind the scenes
Our unique manufacturing capabilities allow us a great deal of customisation to help our clients’ visions come to life. Not only that, but it allows them clarity and transparency into our manufacturing and QA process.
We invited David Fitzgerald, Blackburne Development Manager, to our facility in Shanghai to do just that:
“I found it very beneficial to see the process and understand the quality control procedures behind the scenes. It provides comfort for us seeing the full strength of the team that sits behind the Novas brand,” says David.
Another successful partnership
Working with Blackburne to bring Essence alive is another example of our constant focus on building and solidifying our project partnerships in order to deliver excellent projects.
“We have worked with Novas on several projects now and each have been successful outcomes. Novas (are) always reachable, always ready to ensure a successful client outcome, which builds a good long-term relationship for us,” notes David.
