A New Office To Reflect Who We Are And What We Do
Over the last 11 years, we have been working from our Head Office in Hallam, Victoria. 11 years ago, it was the perfect fit. But right now, it’s time to move on.
We outgrew our current premises 2 years ago — much quicker than we expected — and we have been tirelessly searching for the right place to move to. Now, we’ve chosen a new facility that will allow as 950m2 of office space and 2700m2 of warehouse, which will more than double our total current capacity.
As our team grows, so does our need for thoughtful, empowering and motivating work spaces. So over the last 3 months, we have been busily packing our things while our project team is bringing to life a brilliant, purpose-built office space.
The task
Experienced in designing exceptional commercial spaces, our design partners Made For., were tasked with creating a space that is in-line with where we are as a business:
“The next frontier is a new space for our staff. We wanted a cutting edge, modern office that uses natural materials and our full suite of Novas products and services,” says Todd Foster, Novas Managing Director.
The team at Made For. focused heavily on designing a work environment that is contemporary and fit for purpose, without being sterile.
Most importantly, they were committed to the overarching theme:
“It’s been refreshing to work with a team that’s so focused on workplace wellness and productivity. It’s always been priority number one for Novas to create a really great work environment for their people,” says Mitchell Jones, Made For. Creative Director.
A significant theme of our new Head Office revolves around our focus on working better together, and it is important that our new space enables our ability to be connected as a team.
To make that very thing happen, Made For. have designed a series of oversized internal windows to connect our office space to our warehouse.
On top of that, they have incorporated various collaborative spaces to foster our integrated approach to how we operate.
Another exciting element to this project is the collaboration between Made For., Profile Interiors (our builders) as well as our 4 Novas divisions.
Our Head Office will feature a complete Novas Architectural Doorware package, with all sanitary products supplied by Novas Kitchen & Bathroom. Our bathrooms will be fitted out with Novas Glass & Glazing products, and the entire office will feature Novas Joinery.
“Novas Joinery has a great range of finishes so there was no compromise to a strong and cohesive design,” notes Mitchell.
With a regenerated existing polished concrete floor and matte black aluminium framing throughout, there is a strong focus on modern and industrial design. To balance this, Mitchell and his team have injected warmth into the design via 2 pack feature wall panelling by Novas Joinery, a wide range of feature furniture, pops of colour, colour-blocked offices, as well as plenty of greenery to soften the space.
The right project team
With any project, it’s important to get the right team on board to design and execute a beautiful space on time and within budget.
“The incredible thing we’ve done here with Profile Interiors is in less than 4 months, we’ve picked up a design, completely transformed the building, tripled the office space and created a seamless look. That’s what blows my mind,” says Mitchell.
The magnitude of this project shouldn’t be underestimated, and neither should the impressive work by Profile Interiors:

We’re experienced in manufacturing and supplying products and services across our divisions to stunning and brilliant projects across Australia. Now it’s time for our own space to reflect this.
We’re excited by a Head Office that inspires and enables our staff, designed and built specifically by teams that understand who we are and what we do.
